Make Your Grass Greener_10.28.2021

I had a talk with a friend of mine the other day where we spoke on our frustrations at work. Its a typical topic in any job and cyber is no different. Management, clients, tools, co-workers can all wear you down somehow. This post isn’t to bash anyone but it touches on how the conversation always ends. We spend some time going back and forth on our frustrations but we end on the same note. If the job is still teaching you, you are still learning and you are not remaining stagnant then you might be good where you are. If you feel if you are not learning or miserable because you are not progressing in your knowledge, then it might actually be time to move on to something else. Every job has its pros and cons and some have more than the others but, the grass is not always greener on the other side. As they say, water your side so that it becomes greener. If you have the time and flexibility, create those projects to keep you learning on the job and to keep you learning after the work day is over. Its the process that makes you sweet. The process of what you do is what makes you better, whether its an analyst, athlete, etc. Just like the “100 days of Code”, its a little bit each day that makes the difference.
